Beach and City Tour

On this beach and city tour you’ll experience cities such as Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague and Gouda. You’ll cycle along North Sea beaches, that are many miles long and spend two nights in seaside resorts.  En route you’ll see cows peacefully grazing on lush meadows, plenty of water and of course windmills. This tour is especially stunning in April. That’s when the plants at the 32 hectare Keukenhof Botanical Gardens are in full bloom - a  true flower paradise. This bike tour is also suitable for less-experienced cyclists and can be booked in two categories.

Day 1 Arrival in Utrecht
Explore the lively university town, which also has a 32-metre high tower windmill.

Day 2 Utrecht - Amsterdam, approx. 62 km/39 mi
You’ll cycle along the rivers Amstel and Vecht to Amsterdam. Country estates and villas are dotted across the landscape.

Day 3 Amsterdam - Zandvoort, approx. 32 km/20 mi
Stroll through the historic centre of Amsterdam before you make way to Haarlem and reach the North Sea at Zaandvoort.

Day 4 Zandvoort - Scheveningen, approx. 42 km/26 mi
You’ll spend the entire day cycling along North Sea beaches.  During the month of April, it’s worth taking a detour to the Keukenhof Botanical Gardens .

Day 5 Scheveningen - Gouda/Bodegraven, 53 km/33 mi
Visit the government seat of The Hague before setting off to Gouda. In addition to cheese, the city is also known for syrup waffles.

Day 6 Gouda/Bodegraven - Utrecht, approx. 50 km/31 mi
On the last stage, you’ll encounter lots of old farms and beautiful castles such as Haarzuilens and Zuylen.

Day 7 Departure or extension

Arrival to the Beach and City Tour:
